“At least as good as anything I have heard from million-selling artists.” Andrew Pattison (founder/host of The Troubadour, Melbourne + Port Fairy, Woodford, The National and many other festivals for 30+ years)

A contemporary folk artist whose emotive songs and spellbinding live performances have won her fans across the globe, British singer-songwriter, composer and poet Emily Maguire has released six albums, played the Royal Albert Hall with Don McLean, performed over 50 shows with Dr Hook, played Glastonbury Festival and toured with Eric Bibb.

“Emily was a most welcomed addition to my 2011 solo tour. My audiences loved her personal songs and lovely, heartfelt delivery and they showed it, night after night. Wishing her the best with the new album and tour.” Dennis Locorriere (Dr Hook)

With a remarkable, inspiring story to tell, Emily has been featured many times in playlists and interviews on BBC national radio and her hauntingly beautiful voice has been heard in prisons and psychiatric hospitals as well as concert halls and theatres across the UK.

“Finally got to see the hugely talented Emily Maguire and Christian Dunham play last night in Eudlo. Truly music to nourish the soul.”  Annie Gaffney (ABC Sunshine Coast)

Open about her own experiences of recovery, Emily is an award-winning mental health advocate who writes songs ‘bathed in raw, emotional power’ (Guitarist Magazine), her strong, thought-provoking lyrics influenced both by her Buddhist practice for over 20 years and by her desire to uplift, comfort and inspire her listeners.  She is now based with her husband and bass player Christian Dunham on a farm in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

“I can’t remember enjoying a show so much in years. Your music fed my soul Emily… goosebumps and tears all at the same time… absolutely extraordinary.” Kylie Nielsen

“It was exquisite and I felt very privileged to be in a tiny country hall listening to your music, poetry and passion.” Brenda Sutherland

“I saw your amazing concert last night in Maleny. You took me on a journey with each song, you made me laugh and you made me cry. Thank you.” Helen Sheppard
