Restore charity

Emily is honoured to be a patron of the charity Restore, one of the most well-established and highly-regarded community rehabilitation services in the UK.  It is a specialist organisation based in Oxfordshire offering employment support to people with mental ill health.

Restore supports over 500 people towards mental health recovery each year. Through therapeutic activities, coaching, and learning, Restore helps people to rebuild confidence, develop skills, and connect with others. Of those supported through coaching, 41% move into employment, with a further third into training or volunteering, and 86% of individuals in recovery groups report feeling empowered.

Restore also works within the community to increase knowledge, awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental ill health. Restore delivers professional workplace mental health training, and is home to the Oxfordshire Recovery College, providing free courses to the community.

Testimonials:

“Restore has changed my life. Without it I was housebound and had terrible anxiety and panic attacks. I would like to thank all the staff at Restore for helping me. There is a great atmosphere there.”

“It’s having people to talk to, getting you out of your own head, having a laugh again when you didn’t think you would, makes you happier.”

“I felt that I would never work again, but now I am.”

“My voice matters here, and I feel like an actual person instead of a problem or a generic list of symptoms.”
